Market for the Strange was created to make space for the growing alternative art scene around Salem, Oregon. A place where the unusual is welcome, where the odd ones fit in, and where visitors can walk away with a little bit of the unexpected.

We host a monthly pop-up art market in western Oregon. We alternate event locations between Salem and surrounding cities.

Gothic leathers? Witchy outfits? Characterful costumes? Whatever your vibe is, we're happy to help you celebrate it. Many of our visitors show up to show off their strange fashions, so don't hesitate to pull that special getup out of your closet and show us what you've got!

Goblin City MarketExplore a labyrinth of fantastic, unreal, and otherworldly delights at the Goblin City Market. Browse a magical collection of strange treasures from more than 70 local creators, pick up some tasty treats, and hang out in the heart of Salem's alternative art scene.

Community Hour from 5-6PM. The final hour of the event will have free admission, so visitors with limited budgets can come enjoy our strange community.Sunday, June 8th

Hot Ghoul SummerSun setting, temperature rising? Must be a Hot Ghoul Summer! Join us for our first ever night market at The Grand Theater in Salem. This art and oddities market celebrates the stranger side of summer, featuring artists and creators that prefer to stay out of the sunlight.

For a more ghastly time, join a guided ghost hunt in the The Grand's haunted basement, hosted by the Salem Haunt Club!
